Digital Twin (3D model)

Based on the generated 3D point cloud, we create photorealistic, textured 3D models, often referred to as a digital twin (Digital Twin). Alternatively, we can also deliver 3D CAD or BIM models without textures.

In simple terms, a triangulated mesh is created from the point cloud. We then optimize this mesh, for example by removing unnecessary parts, closing holes, and smoothing suitable areas. After that, we generate a detailed texture from the aerial imagery and apply it to the mesh to achieve a photorealistic look. For high-quality textures, both nadir and oblique images are typically required.

3D models of this type can be used for:
*3D measurements
*Visualizations
*Inspections
*Architecture and as-built planning
*BIM (Building Information Modeling)
and more…

Like all our deliverables, 3D models can be exported in different levels of detail and in various file formats.

Common file formats:
*.obj
*.3ds
*.glb
*.fbx
and many more…
